Dear Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your support throughout the past 10 months. It was a wonderful year in Grade 3! I sincerely hope that I was able to provide your child with a caring environment in which to learn French. My goal was to instill a love of learning this wonderful language. All my students showed improvement in one way or another and for this, I am very proud. I wish them continued success. Enjoy your summer! Aurevoir!

3D Models To Go Home Please

Bonjour les parents! Please make plans to either pick up your child's 3D Pioneer model before or after school one day this week. Once again, thank you for all your hard work supporting your child in this endeavour. Merci! Madame Goold

Le jour des pionniers 2017!!

What a wonderful day it was! The students all discovered the challenges faced by pioneers in the 1800's during our activities on Pioneer Day.  We made our own butter, sewed twill bags, wrote/painted with quills, and played old-fashioned games using marbles and bean bags.

I loved seeing all the enthusiasm and excitement shown by my student "pioneers": the outfits, the healthy lunches (in either brown paper bags or baskets) AND, some students even walked to school!

During one of the blocks, all grade 3 students gathered in the Learning Commons to show off their 3D models as the rest of the students in the school came to see all the hard work and fun. We even got to taste our homemade butter on fresh bread.  Mmmm good!

Pioneer Day Info!

This Thursday is our Pioneer Day! Thank you to all parent volunteers. Please come to the Learning Commons prior to the beginning of the block for instructions. I'm also looking forward to all the spectators that are planning on coming.
Do not forget to send your child to school dressed in "Pioneer-type" clothing, IF possible. Also, try to pack a lunch with non-processed foods in the paper bag that will be sent home on Wednesday. It should be a very exciting, fun-filled day!
